You’re probably awake on a Monday morning regretting your excessive drinking last night, thinking there’s nothing you can do to reverse it. Newsflash, there is, and all you have to do is go about your usual routine!
Sleep it off
Sleeping will definitely help in making you feel tremendously better. If you have time to sleep longer, take it. However, I’m strongly sure that with all the alcohol you had last night, your exhausted ass woke up late. If that’s the case, then move on to the next step.
You need to drink plenty of water to rehydrate yourself and flush out the impurities from your system. It will lessen dizziness and soothe headaches. A better option is to drink fruit juice to help the liver metabolize the alcohol faster; even better if it’s citric. You can also drink ginger ale to help with the nausea and cure stomach aches.
Exercise and yoga
If you don’t normally exercise everyday, you might want to today. Exercising will help the alcohol leave your system faster by speeding up the process of metabolizing the alcohol. It also releases endorphins, which can improve your mood. If you choose to do yoga, twisting yoga poses like the seated twist are the best.
Take a hot bath
A hot bath will not only make you feel extremely good, but also help you get rid of the alcohol. If you’re not in too much of a hurry and have time to soak in the tub for a while, then take a mustard bath. Simply add mustard powder to your water and soak for as long as you can.
Have a hearty breakfast
Eat a really good breakfast even if you’re feeling nauseous. You need the electrolytes to help get calories back into your body. Specific foods like eggs can also help break down the hangover-causing toxin. By the end of breakfast, you’ll be feeling a thousand times better than when you had woken up with a pounding headache!
Now you can Party. Drink. Repeat and never be late again!
